Patara beach is amazingly beautiful, with 18 km of endless white sands you don’t need to walk far to reach your own little piece of paradise. A place where only peace will ever be found even during the height of summer, crowds are unheard of.

You can’t help but be drawn into the untouched landscape & breathtaking views. The length of white sand is defined by an elevation of mountains at each end & the fascinating ruins of ancient Patara that project through the sand dunes, they are a spectacular historic treat & include a sand-swept theatre, a triple arched gate & a necropolis.
Not only is Patara renowned for its picturesque scenery but it is also part of the protected national park. It inhibits many wildlife species & is plentiful in birdlife with the most treasured species being the Loggerhead Turtle, also known as the Caretta Caretta. These beautiful turtle’s are endangered & nearing extinction so the protection of their nesting sites is hugely important, this means Patara will always remain untouched from heavy development.

Patara beach attracts many visitors from Kalkan, Kas, Fethiye & the other tourist areas of the ‘Turquoise Coast’. With its crystal clear waters, it is ideal for any swimmer or snorkeler & for those wishing to indulge in sunbathing, sunscreen is a must. Although if these get too much, there are sun loungers & parasols available for hire & other facilities include a shower, toilets & a little attractive café, which have all been designed to be in keeping with the surroundings.

Voted as one of the top beaches in the world by Times Online, Best of 2005 & known as the "widest beach of the northern Mediterranean, this really is a place where you take nothing but memories & leave nothing but footprints.
